Here is what a local PD in Texas is doing in support of one of its city officials. I think we all should ask ourselves what skills are we developing to effectively fill this role. Body language, behavioral assessment surveillance not to mention the MANAGEMENT of this tactical support element. It is much more than just putting shooters on the FEBA, (Forward Edge of the Battle Area), haha. An additional positive here is how organizations and even the media are beginning to delineate between Body Protection and Executive Protection. The more we can define the platform the easier we define expectations to the team as well as the client.
