Here it comes. The official review of IRANDAAM ULAGAM starring Aarya in the characters Madhu BalaKrishnan and Maruvan and Anushka in the characters Ramya and Varna. To make it simple we can say that this movie is a journey to a different world to explore the magic of love.A different concept by director Selvaraghavan.Hats off to his dedication in this movie. Lets start this review discussing the storyline.According to the story,Anushka has been picturized as the lead role.Aarya(Maruvan) is a normal man living in a world where their country women are treated as slaves and dolls by the men.Anushka(Varna) is a brave women living in the same world who wishes to be independent and be of service to her country by joining the army to protect their goddess who is called as Amma by the people living in the world.Since she is a woman shes being dominated every time she tries to prove her courage.Parallely in our world(Earth), Anushka(Ramya) is a doctor who services the people and falls in love with Aarya(Madhu BalaKrishnan) on seeing his helping tendencies.Anushkas innocent performance for the character Ramya and a complete contrast violent performance for the character Varna are appreciated a lot.The goddess of the second world(Amma) wants her people to know the value of love and make them cherish. So she(Amma) plays her game by bringing Aarya(Madhu BalaKrishnan) into her world and make him explore the magic of love to the people living there. The game starts off by making Anushka(Ramya) to face her death all of a sudden while Aarya(Madhu BalaKrishnan) attempts to suicide for the reason that his love has gone.Parallely in the other world,Aarya(Maruvan) gets attracted to Anushka(Varna) and marries her.But Varna is not interested in her marriage life and she thinks that her freedom will be gone after her marriage. So she attempts suicide when shes being saved by Amma. This is the situation where Aarya(Maruvan) saves Aarya(Madhu BalaKrishnan) from his suicide attempt and takes him into his world unknowingly.Did amma make her people experience the magic of love? What happens to Aarya(Maruvan and Madhu BalaKrishnan) and Anushka(Varna)? Small twists make you get enriched of whats gonna happen next.A complete romantic fantasy fiction in tamil cinema. Now coming to the screenplay, its completely well-paced but slow with more details. The visuals of the second world are completely innovative and makes you feel that you are a part of that beautiful world. The visuals create an intense feel of travelling in the world along with the fiction characters. The locations from Rio de Janerio,Georgia and the forests of Brazil are picturised in such a way that makes the audience experience a whole new world in front of their seats. The way the two worlds were connected were completely mystical and it also had some concept of mythology(since its the game of the goddess).Songs are very pleasant. The lyrics of Kanimozhiye,En Kaadhal Theeye makes everyone experience the miracle of love in fraction of seconds.Anushka has been given an action role after a long time. Her action sequences are really good.Aaryas action sequences are a bit heroic but good to watch. One of the major flaws that everyone notices is the chaotic screenplay at few places. It makes you think that this scene is god damn boring and unrelated to the movie. But it isnt so.All the scenes are well plotted to explain the story in detail. This movie has been produced by Prasad.V.Potluri of PVP Cinemas.Coming to the technical team, cinematography has been done by Ramji.Editing by Kola Bhaskar.Music by Anirudh(BGM) and Harris Jayaraj(songs).Perfect cuts and edits. This movie has a running time of 2 hours 40 minutes and 09 seconds. Finally when it comes to the audience these kind of mystical movies are rarely welcomed. We still cant find a solid reason of why its not being acceptable.People tend to watch hollywood fiction movies which are completely impossible and beyond our imaginations. While people have the tendency to accept such movies, why cant we appreciate the attempts made in Indian cinema especially Tamil and accept fiction stories in tamil..? Heard as many critics from the audiences about the movie in the theatre. There were very few people who enjoyed the movie while the rest were spending their time blaming the director and the story. P.S. : Whether we like it or not,we can appreciate the crew for their hardwork and dedication in filming such a different concept. But this movie is really good for the people who experience the feel of true love. This movie is not worth for the audiences who dont like fictions. #Rating 3.5 out of 5. | Film Factor |
