Here it goes Robbie: As someone who played percussion in grade school through my freshman year of college, music was, and is to this day, a very important part of my life. I grew up listening to most of the arena/classic rock and roll bands from the 70’s, soft rock, power ballads, disco as well as other other genres. But something incredible happened, 1981 became the best year of my life! That fall, I surrendered my pitiful life as a sinner to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I also began listening to christian music for the first time in my life. I have now been listening to, loving, and collecting christian music ever since. I’m 52 years of age now, and I am blessed, as someone else has already pointed out, to enjoy a wide range and variety of christian music, exclusively by artists whose songs have, and continue to minister to me. I don’t listen to everything just because it’s labeled christian, and unfortunately, have stopped listening to christian radio. I joined this site because of my love for christian music, and to possibly buy, sell, or trade some music. I would like to encourage anyone new to christian music, to open your heart for something that can be life changing! There are a lot of christian artists/groups from the 70’s and 80’s who still sing for the Lord and/or make their music available. This group is a valuable resource.
