Here now, living in my adoptive familys old house, I find Im missing my adoptive dad something shocking. Despite the fact the house indoors is nothing like how I used to know it 21 years ago, theres no escaping the fact that it used to belong to the family. Yesterday I managed to find a photo of dad, taken with mum and Colin at a day trip by the sea 20 years ago. Our last trip together. He died 4 years later. Ive no idea if an old photo, taken by an old camera, can be converted to digital format - I cant find any negatives - but I wish I could, since all photos I have of him, excluding those from my wedding, are from that day trip. And there only three of those! I wish my dad was here to witness the PhD finishing! I never had this trouble when I was living in other houses for 21 years of marriage but living here its a different kettle of fish...
