Here to give another update. Kristina has her eyes open and they seem to be tracking good, she also seems to be responding to communications. We also have more good news. As of a few minutes ago, she has started moving her legs a little bit. This is a good sign. The doctor told us to not get our hopes high, but also not to lose hope. With the conversation I had with the doctor, Ill try to provide a little info here. The problem definitely seems to be in her brain stem. The eye movement all comes from above the brain stem so it naturally came first. But the way he described it to me is that the brain is like a factory, and the brain stem is the light switches for the factory. With the pressure on the stem or possibly a stroke, the brain stem may slowly start turning the switches on. Theres the chance that they wont all turn back on, but were continuing to pray. As long as shes making forward progress, he wants to let her get as well as possible before putting her under the stress of an MRI.
