Here we go! #kickcancersasssharrymom Sharry King is currently having chemo in Chaska. The cancer that she is fighting is officially Ovarian Cancer again, but because it is a reoccurance, it does not show up in the CA125 tests. The plan is to use the chemo to shrink the growth until it either no longer exists, or shrinks to the point that they can safely do surgery. If the growth doesnt shrink (yeah, right!) they will do radiation - but only if they have to. The doctors feel very strongly that there is a good chance that the chemo will suffice. She will do the chemo now, and then again in 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, they will check the size of the growth and will continue to monitor it. They are going to put in a life port next week. There are a few positive things going for her - per the doctor: ++NONE of the other scans show any trace of cancer. ++There has been so much time since the last occurrence of cancer, they are optimistic for an excellent result. There is are a few positive things going for her - per Lois, Kathy, and Robert and Kristi ++++++The power of prayer ++++++The power of guardian angels ++++++Love and support of family, friends, and extended family and friends ++++++Jesus ++++++And as Robert has said since this started Its GRANDMA!!!
