Here you go - step wise pics for the newspaper place mats !!! Thanks a lot for all your responses 😊. . Please do try it ! It follows the basic weaving technique. Step 1- roll equal sized newspaper bits and glue the edges. ( I used 25-30) Step 2- create the frame work as shown in the third pic and glue the closed end and let it dry for 10 mins. Step 3- place a weight on the closed end , I have used a book. Lift up the alternate strips and pass a horizontal strip in between them. Step 4- shift the weight on the newly weaved strip and continue the procedure. Step 5- spread fevicol all over the surface and let it dry for 1 hour. Step 6- paint with acrylic or enamel paints and varnish overnight . Have fun !!! 😄
