Heres a beautiful irony. In 1717 John Baskett produced an incredibly gorgeous edition of the Bible. It had 60 amazing copper engravings in two large volumes. (Our copy is 13.5 x 20.5) But Baskett didnt give as much attention to the text. So much so that the book is nicknamed the Vinegar Bible because of a misprint in Luke 20--which reads vinegar rather than vineyard. The magnificent production is also called the Baskett Full of Errors.
