Heres a bit of racing action from my latest novel. Shawn turned his attention back to the track. He was still in the bottom groove as they headed into turn three from the long backstretch. He’d gotten a run on the fourth-place car, but wisely backed out of the gas as they reached the thirty-three degree banking in the corner. His world tilted to almost a vertical axis as they sailed through the turn at almost two hundred miles per hour, before leveling out again on the sweeping front straightaway. “Nick has to pit in two laps, Shawn. No cautions yet, so you’ll be coming in under green.” Shawn grimaced. “Ten-four.” He knew his friend would work with him. In fact, Nick hadn’t left his bumper since they’d hooked up and hauled ass on lap four.
