Heres a thought: Humane - intended to have a civilizing or refining effect on PEOPLE. What makes a human being migrate to another place? Is it safety from fear of ones own life or family? Wanting to live free and out of harm’s way?, Whatever the reason, Im sure it meets the definition of humane. And so, if you see someone fleeing from danger, why would you want to push them away? After all this is the Land of the Free and I dont believe jobs are being taken away... Some people just dont want to work in the first place; therefore, there lies an opportunity for another to get into position. Now, history will continue to be made as long as world exist. Change is often resisted even during the time when slavery ended. Im not a politician nor do I speak the language, but I see the Presidents point and a change is necessary. FIX the current problem and enforce future incidents. I see the need to establish a more comprehensive protocol to make legal those who desire to be in our great country. There need to be made a safe place for those who are still trying to cross over like using one of the shutdown military bases that would serve as a head start in processing station. This junction will provide some schooling in learning the basic English language, getting the legal paperwork in order, learning the basic laws of this great nation and many other issues. The only way then to cross over or be released from this program would be through a successful completion of those basic needs. Friends and relative who are legal may come to visit but with restrictions that they would have to check in at a hotel for visitations lasting more than one day... This is just an example of what could be done and more to control future immigration issues. I see the possibility of job creation and other good things out of an idea like this. Construction and other issues needed to bring a facility like this up to code can start with current immigrants under the supervision of a construction company or joint companies. I see jobs and opportunity. What say you?
