Heres a video about Pflugerville. At minute 3:29 the narrator, Terry Bradshaw states more than 5,000 acres are available and ready for development. Considering the fact the size of Pflugerville is only 7, 232 acres, it appears the current city administrators and the PCDC are planning to fill every nook and cranny of available space with developments such as hotels, subdivisions and apartment buildings. Pflugerville is already twice as dense in population as Austin. So, I wonder what our town will be like in 10 years or less, when the population has tripled due to this pushed development? I also wonder will we be exchanging for all this growth? And who exactly will be reaping the most gain with each new sale, land deal and business incentive? Some say growing population and development are our unstoppable destiny. In reality, individuals are propelling this growth by chopping up and selling off any and all open spaces in and around Pflugerville. The hoards are not descending and thus we must meet the demand as some would have you believe. It is in fact, the opposite, they are building or allowing the building in order to entice people to move here...Ie if you build it they will come. Btw what happened to the solar farm?
