Heres a video of Buddy watching me eat. Just amazed me to see him following my hand. Buddy came with no vision in his right eye and just a tiny bit in his left eye. After surgery by Dr. van Brunt at Southern Veterinary Eye Care. Buddy has 50% vision in his left eye and 80% vision in his right eye. Can you imagine how excited Buddy is to see again?! Buddy will need two eye drops twice a day for the rest of his life. They are ~$60 for 2-3 months, depending on where you get them. He doesnt mind getting drops at all. Buddy is a 15 lb tan & white Pekingese. Hes heartworm negative and neutered. We think hes 6 years old but since hes a cruelty case we will never know. Hes up to date on shots, flea and heartworm prevention. Hes still being treated for a bacterial and yeast skin infection. Hes on antibiotics, yeast meds & medicated shampoo. Buddy is completely housebroken. He gets along with cats and dogs. He walks away from aggressive dogs. But will bark at hyper dogs if they annoy him. He rarely makes a peep. He prefers to sit on the sofa next to you. Hes not clingy. He loves playing with toys. We had to shave him down as his hair was completed matted. We believe all his hair will grow back. He was at a local shelter after 32 dogs were taken from a rescuers house. Supposedly buddy was there for four years. All vets that saw him said he got this way from pure neglect. His last vet visit was in December. We want to thank everyone that donated to make Buddys life possible. Now Buddy needs a wonderful forever home to make up for his previous hell.
