Heres an interesting project I had to work on for a collector. He had this werewolf display head that hed gotten from Jim Lawrence at Morris Costumes. Its latex with all the hair punched into it...but the ears were solid latex and had no support in them so they just tended to flop down like a dogs instead of standing up. So I pulled all the hair out of the backs of the ears, attached some heavy support wire onto them then covered that over with fabric and latex. I then mixed several shades of latex and proceeded to blend the surface coloring to match. After that I stippled on a layer of Pros-Aide adhesive on the backs of the ears, let that get tacky, then, using hair pulled from other parts of the piece I laid the hair into the adhesive much like one would lay a beard onto an actor, layer upon layer. So now we have a werewolf with properly erect ears covered in hair and looking scary instead of like a sad dog. :-)
