Heres an update on Maddie Grace. MRI update: Maddie came through the MRI okay. John and I were quite worried because of giving anesthesia to a person with a severe head injury (they completely sedated her to do the test). But she did great. The MRI results are tentatively good. There is a little fluid on the brain but it is expected to drain through to the spine. The blood clot next to the brain stem is not any larger but because of where it is located it has swelled next to the spot where the fluid drains into the spine. That has made this hole a little smaller which has made drainage of that fluid slower, causing some fluid buildup on the brain. But not much buildup. The doctors are satisfied with her MRI results and are talking of moving her out of ICU tomorrow. The neurosurgical team will come by in the morning to see about taking her out of the neck brace. MRI did show swelling of the C-1 disc and the ligament that runs along the cervical spine. Because of this she may have to stay in the brace. Well see. Right now we are waiting for her pain meds to kick in so her headaches will stop and she can have a good nights sleep. Please pray that she will have a good night. Thank you for the many prayers you have prayed already. As John prayed today, the only person who loves Maddie more than John or me is God. And God is hearing our prayers and gracefully answering them...Thank you all.
