Most accumulations will be above 8000 feet, where 3-6 inches are possible. A couple inches may accumulate as low as 7000 feet. Travel impacts will be limited to the higher Sierra passes in Alpine and northern Mono counties (Highways 4, 108, 120). Snow may cover the road on Carson Pass (Highway 88) and the Mt Rose Summit. Those driving over Echo Pass and Spooner Summit (Highway 50), and Donner Pass (Interstate 80) tonight and Saturday Morning will encounter wet and/or slushy roads.
