Heres another simple exercise that we dont see nearly enough of at the gym. Includes Quads/Glutes and Hamstring involvement, with hip and knee joint action. The higher the box/step the harder the Quads have to work to straighten your leg, they work the hardest when at bent position but continues to be active throughout the entire ROM (range of motion), until your leg is straightened. The higher the box/step and the amount you lean forward will force your Glutes to work harder. Your hamstrings work to stabilize knee joint and also torso at your hip. How much its worked will depend on how high the box and how far you actually step forward on the box. Or you could say the more you have to pull yourself forward as you rise the more your hamstrings will work. We added the plate for multi -purpose, added resistance for step up, bicep isometric hold, and also keeping Core engaged all in one...
