Heres another song on the Billboard top 100 I think is pretty cool. Like anything on Billboard, the chords are fairly simple, but what they do with them is impressive, and they have a cool, unique sound that builds well into a gospel-inspired chorus and comes back down smoothly for a grooving second verse. It has the emotional effect that it should without melodrama, shock, or cringe moments. I also love the spot the symbols game they put into the video. Its reminiscent of Fiona Apples bell game in Extraordinary Machine. Great tune.
