Heres how to grow your own wheatgrass: 1. Order hard red wheat from online supplier (I order in #10 cans usually from Emergency Essentials because its easy to store). 2. Soak about 1/3 wheat in a cup overnight in water. Cover wheat kernels by about 2 of water. 3. Drain wheat in morning in colander. Rinse well after draining with clean water. 4. Put 1 organic garden soil in container with small drain holes in bottom. You can use leftover salad containers from grocery store... Just poke holes in bottom. I finally ordered a couple of sprouting tray sets from handy pantry online... They stack well in my kitchen and I got tired of my kitchen looking like a science experiment was always going on! 5. Put a layer of soaked wheat kernels on top of soil. 6. Add another light layer of soil to cover wheat kernels... Enough to keep kernels in the dark. 7. Water well until water drains from holes... But gently. 8. Drain well. 9. Set outside where wont be disturbed by animals. Wheat loves cold weather!! 10. If soil gets dry, I usually mist it once a day... But sometimes... Especially if it rains, or if Im busy or out of town, I just forget about it and it grows well anyway! Especially in cold weather! 11. After about 10 days, cut the green grass with scissors and add it to blender with apple juice. Blend briefly and pour through a sieve! * optimally, you can get in a pattern of starting a new crop every day or every few days so you always have some... At least a few times a week. It doesnt cure everything but we have noticed it does greatly affect our energy levels...we feel younger...and it seems to work like a healing and wellness influence from the inside out... On a cellular level. Its potent stuff! It cuts my appetite because after drinking a shot, I do not want anything else to eat for a while and it helps to eliminate cravings for sweets or junk😀. So of course, Ive lost weight by drinking wheatgrass regularly too!
