Heres my Flash theory: (no spoilers I think) Later on in the show, Eddie finds out that Barry is the flash but keeps it a secret so Iris can be friends with Barry (Remember, she doesnt like the flash anymore) however Iris finds out on her own and chooses Barry over Eddie because she realizes that barry is the real hero. Enraged, Eddie wants revenge. Dr wells needs a pawn so that he can remain close to flash but create an obstacle so that he can continue to push himself to be faster so that Dr wells can see himself as more than the guy who nuked central city. Therefore, while Barry is not present, they recreate the lightning bolt again which gave Barry back his powers in one of the episodes and Eddie gets the suit that Dr wells had stored. Then Eddie and Barry confront each other and Eddie does the whole Im going to take the most important thing away from you like you did to me cliche and then runs as Barry chases after him but together they run so fast that they go back in time which was Dr wells plan originally and Eddie kills his mom and is about to kill Barry as a kid but Barry saves him which is why he was on the street. Nerdy, yes. False, not likely.
