Heres my correspondents....please tell me if I was reasonable? Dear paulbutterflyjungles, I was wondering whether you send the plant via Ipost parcels/uk mail? Because Im having great trouble trying to get them to leave the parcel in my shed around the back. They claim that they need a signature or need you to authorise them leaving the plant around the back in the shed. Please could you possible contact them and ask whether they could do that? If not, can you ask them to deliver it to my workplace? Littlehurst Nursery and Garden Centre , Bennetts Road North, Corley, Warwickshire CV7 8BG Im just a bit worried that the plant will spoil if they dont get their finger out and £25 is alot to pay out for their incompetence. It does state clearly that we deliver on a Weds and the delivery must be signed for.If you had given us an alternative delivery address at the time of ordering it could have been sent there no problem.We often deliver to the workplace for that reason.We no longer authorise leaving our plants in safe places due to too many parcels being lost or stolen. Just to let you know that I still have not received the plant after the company keep failing to dispatch the thing from the depot, and after I waited in all day today and my mum waited here all day yesterday too. Ive phoned the company (ukmail) and they asked if I want to reschedule the delivery again for tomorrow, I declined as I know that the plant is not going to be in a good state when it arrives, knowing how roughly they are treated during 1 deliver attempt, let alone 5. Therefore the company (ukmail) are sending the plant back to you. I would still like to do trade with your company, and would like to resolve this matter too. So Ill leave it in your hands to decide whether you could send my a replacement plant, or issue a refund on receipt of returned plant? Thank you for any help you can give me. yours sincerely Mr P Birkin. Seller....... Dear p.birkin1977, Well this isnt great is it? We specify the delivery day as Weds and that it must be signed for! I cant blame a company for trying to deliver on the correct day as as it states clearly on my terms the only contract broken is between you the buyer and me the seller as you broke the terms by not taking delivery on the correct day.I therefore cant claim anything from UK Mail (the minimum claim is over £70 anyway so I couldnt have claimed even if it had been their fault) Not only have I lost out on the price on the plant I will now be charged twice for the delivery as returns are charged too! So basically Im around £40 out of pockets as you did not adhere to my terms stated.We are a small Company so situations like these hit us harder than the bigger ones.As a gesture of goodwill I will refund you once I receive the plant but I think its best you shop elsewhere as everyone respects my terms and every other delivery has got through fine. - paulbutterflyjungles me............... Dear p.birkin1977, No I havent had it back as yet as it will not be viewed as high priority.It makes no difference as the plant will now be dead and you have completely ignored my message content stating it was your fault not being there on the delivery day as stated on ALL our listings.ALL our customers have received their orders through UK Mail fine but you caused the problem by not taking it on the right day = Your fault!!I will refund at the end of the week, you should be grateful, we dont have to as its YOUR fault, NOT THE COURIER WHO DELIVERED ON THE CORRECT DAY!.Thanks to you we are out of pocket. - paulbutterflyjungles
