Heres one that just came in for a repair. The handle section came unbonded from the rest of the rod. Upon inspection of the guides, severe grooving was noticed on the tip and all guides had grooving to some degree. This is what happens to steel rings when theyre used in dirty water with braid. Sediment deposits in the pores of the line and basically makes a rope saw. This will also happen with mono line, but not as rapidly.
