Heres some monetary Christmas cheer (and please check me on this before you make decisions) For Verizon users, if youre on a smartphone plan, I think the least you can pay for data is $30 for 2gb. Then you get warnings if you come close to your limit before the end of the cycle. They encourage you (politely though, to VZs credit) to increase your monthly allowance and buy more. If you buy 4gb, the rate is better... That costs $50, or $12.50 per GB. That certainly beats the $15/GB for the lower plan. THEN if you splurge for 5 GB, or 7, the price is $50 or $70, depending... Aka the best rate so far, at $10 per GB. The clincher? The overage charges are $10 per GB. So lets say youre going to use 7gb some month. If you buy the bulk rate, its an even $70. If you use the plan I have though, the first 2gb will cost $30 and the other 5 will cost $50 in overages. So buying the bulk plan saves a max of $10, which is also what you waste if, say, one month you only use 4gb of your 5gb plan. So my personal suggestion is to: yes, try to pick a plan to reflect the actual usage... But also round down, because the overage fees you pay on an odd month are the cheapest data they sell :) And to all, a good night!
