The citation is LRS 37:1514 (of the LA Veterinary Practice Act) regarding “license requirement and exceptions” which can be found on the LBVM’s website at lsbvm.org. It states, in effect, that “no person shall practice veterinary medicine in the state who is not a LA licensed veterinarian. However, this law shall not be construed to prohibit: (#7) a member of the faculty of a veterinary school performing his regular functions, or a person lecturing, or giving instructions or demonstrations at a veterinary school.”
