Heres the scoop about Aidans test results: Brain MRI= poor image quality due to head movement, therefore inconclusive. EEG= lack of obvious seizure activity during test and head movements proved results inconclusive. However, Doctors observation of Aidan seizing in office and the video provided led to a diagnosis of COMPLEX PARTIAL SEIZURES (epilepsy). Blood tests= HIGH TRIGLYCERIDE level and LOW HDL. Also HIGH BLOOD SUGAR bordering on diabetic. TREATMENT: increase dosage of seizure medication (Lamotrigine), increase exercise and dietary changes to improve cholesterol and blood sugar levels. PROGNOSIS: epilepsy will be a life long condition and probably wont be completely seizure free but medication should help reduce them. He will need life long supervision and care. Focusing on consistent exercise and eating a low carbohydrate, higher protein diet will help him achieve a more optimal health state.
