Heres what Ive gotten back so far... We have received a few inquiries on this due to some increased activity at the site. Here’s what I can tell you: Current activities: There are currently two inactive/retired natural gas-powered steam units at our Tradinghouse Power Plant site. Luminant has plans to eventually demolish these units and is in the early stages of that demolition. This is a very deliberate, fairly lengthy process and at this time no definitive date has been set for the demolition to be complete. You’re correct regarding any future plans: Luminant has filed a permit application to potentially build two natural gas combustion turbines at its existing Tradinghouse Power Plant site. While current market conditions do not incent new generation, additional resources will be needed and progress is being made to encourage development. In anticipation of future, more favorable circumstances, the company is taking this step to position itself to quickly add new generation to the market when market conditions improve to a level that incents new generation. If built, these CTs would represent an additional ~420-460 MW of new, natural gas-fueled generation They are not building new gas fired plants folks. This is straight from Luminant. The plants are gong down not up
