On behalf of NHS clinicians we are looking for parents who are interested in getting involved in the design of a research project to improve the targeting of intrapartum antibiotics in women deemed to be at risk of transmitting the bacteria Group B Streptococcus (GBS) to their babies during childbirth. In some mother-baby pairs, GBS can cause severe infection in the baby. The infection is associated with high risk of mortality particularly in preterm babies.
