Here’s a glimpse into the past. As part of an ongoing series, Klamath post cards, The Herald and News and the Klamath County Museum feature historic Klamath Basin photos online and in the H&Ns Saturday Connections section. Klamath post card No. 21 — 400 block of Main Street The 400 block of Main Street in Klamath Falls appears in this post card photo. At far left is the office of the California Oregon Power Co., which later became part of Pacific Power. Next door is Garcelons, and then the Rainbow Theater at 417 Main, which has a closed message in the marquis. The theater closed in 1947, giving us a likely date for this image. Signs along the two-way Main Street include Highways 97 and 66 at far right.
