Here’s my simple take on Obama’s Soviet Care. You own a Ford - TopicsExpress

Here’s my simple take on Obama’s Soviet Care. You own a Ford pickup truck and like it. It tows your boat, hauls things, goes in the woods and is a pleasure to drive. It does what you want it to do and you pay $300 a month note. After promising you that you can keep your Ford pickup, the government comes to your house in the middle of the night and tows away your truck. Instead, they leave you a Ferrari with a note that says, “You made the wrong choice in your automobile purchase. You bought a crappy car that doesn’t do what we think you should do. We don’t think you should be towing a boat, hauling large objects or going in the woods to destroy the environment and contribute to global warming. You don’t know what’s good for you, but the government knows what’s best for you, so we took your truck and crushed it. You shouldn’t have had the truck anyway.” You can go 200 miles per hour in the Ferrari, but can’t tow a boat or haul large objects. It can only carry two people. If you go more than 55 mph, you’ll get a ticket. The government increased your monthly note to $1,500 for the Ferrari because it’s a more expensive machine. In addition, since it’s a sports car capable of going 200 mph, your insurance rates went through the roof. In the interest of “fairness,” the government also quadrupled your taxes because you have to buy Ferraris that the government plans to give away for free to people who refuse to work. That night, someone comes to your home and steals your Ferrari because they saw the government leave it with the engine running and the keys in it. You still have to pay the note, taxes and insurance for the Ferrari. In addition, the government will arrest you and fine you for no longer having your Ferrari.
