Here’s some food for thought… Extremism is a complex phenomenon, although its complexity is often hard to see, especially in a Country like America where we do not seem to detect this level of behavior until it’s too late. Most simply, it can be defined as activities (beliefs, attitudes, feelings, actions, strategies) of a character far removed from the ordinary. Laird Wilcox, researcher specializing in the study of political fringe movements, identifies 21 alleged traits of a political extremist, ranging from behavior like a tendency to character assassination, over hateful behavior like name calling and labelling, to general character traits like a tendency to view opponents and critics as essentially evil, a tendency to substitute intimidation for argument or groupthink. Extremism is seen as not a tactic, nor an ideology, but as a pathological illness which feeds on the destruction of life. Typically, the same extremist act will be viewed by some as just and moral (such as Islamic terrorism), ... kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture and besiege them” stated from the Qurans Sword verses. So why is this important to us and our Country?... Take this as a small example within the leadership affecting our Country, “extreme conservatives who are right to life, pro-assault weapon, anti-gay…have no place in the State of New York” quoted by Governor Cuomo of New York. An ideology of New York’s Governor to label a group of People, a group of New Yorkers as unwelcome, i.e. over hateful behavior like name calling and labelling. This is the very same extremist behavior that was used by Islamic Terrorist when they slaughter Christians around the world or declare the United States as the “Devil”. Think about this also the next time you hear our President say, “Morality is immoral. Pro-life is the extremist position, not a moral position.” A message delivered by President Obama at Notre Dame. Or when he said this in Cairo at an Islamic Institution, “As the Holy Koran tells us, Be conscious of God and speak always the truth. “That is what I will try to do.” The same God that tells them to, “kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture and besiege them” Think about it America…
