Hershey is having a play date with a friends dog (yes, I do arrange play dates for my dog) and Im taking advantage of it to the fullest by thoroughly vacuuming the apartment. Everytime I get the vacuum cleaner out she goes into the far corner of the bedroom, hides under the night stand until Im done and after tell her I put the thing away. Ive gone over the entire place 3X and each time the canister had to be emptied, less with each time, but still a significant amount of dog hair. I brush her daily with a wire stripper brush getting a whole brush full of hair nearly every time and its the middle of winter where Im at. .Ive only had her for almost a year now and she is my first cattle dog. I have to ask if the shedding ever lets up? Im considering shearing her when spring comes around, but she is a very vain girl and I dont want to hurt her pride, but the hair...... Is there anything I can do aboutt it or is it something Im just going to have to accept with the package?
