Het gedink die Hilux manna sal my survey comment aan Ford na my diens geniet.... Liefe Ford se survey !! I am a pretty laid back person and not too demanding, but my Ford experience has been a shocking one to say the least. Let me start with some history. My first service at Ford took 3 days and the second took 7 days. Both due to recall issues and parts not in stock. This service took 2 days and the “Coolant Hose” identified for replacement/recall was not in stock. Also, my Bluetooth is faulty and it was verbally communicated to me that this to needs to be replaced. I note nothing of this nature on the invoice or job card so not sure if the bluetooth unit is ordered? So in summary. I had to call Ford at 3pm on the day of the service to ask if my car was going to be ready. At first they could not answer me and they had to call me back with info 30 min later. I then had a call from Riaan indicating that they will find the part at another dealer and that the car will be ready by 5pm. I then had another call (message) that I could collect the car at 5pm. I indicated that logistically I would rather pick it up the AM of the next day. So I arrive the next day for the collection. Panic stations at Ford as they had to do a service inspection on the car. I noted they pulled the car into the dock for this. 30 minutes later I see the technician taking my car for a test drive, which I assume is part of their quality check process. So the car arrives back. More panic stations.. o crap the paperwork!! …“Don’t worry sir we are just doing the paperwork and should be done soon..” after 3 coffees and 1:30min I finally get to put my butt back onto my car seat. As they talked me through the paper work they explained that the hose was not in stock and that it is on back-order, the Bluetooth was not fixed and they will put in a warrantee claim. OK, thax! So all they did was the 45k service…. after all that and a day later. Since then I have heard nothing from the dealership and have zero confidence that they will get back to me on the hose and or Bluetooth module. I am already stressing about my 60k km service (hopeing the car will make it to 60k km with what I now understand to be another defective hose..). So I have now joined a Ranger facebook page to try and find out if anybody knows about good Ford dealership between the Limpopo river and Geenpoint Stadium in Cape Town. I am wondering if it might be easier to just sell the car before that. I currently own a Toyota Fortuner, an old Hilux d/c (with a ford motor believe it or not – and I love it) and now the Ranger 3.2 as my everyday car. Ford has great products coming through the ranks, pity the dealerships and service workshops can’t cash the cheques the sales people and designers write.
