Hey Everyone. Its two weeks out from the Houston Tour de Cure. I havent said a lot about it because its been my ride, my story . Ive been wrong. Its our ride. Its our story. As Ive done my bit of fundraising out here in Odessa, away from publicity for the ride and minimal support from the Midland ADA office, Ive learned a lot. Ive heard that people without diabetes are still affected by it. They have shared their story. They have friends who have diabetes. They have family. They have loved ones. And we are all connected. So Im not just riding for me. Im riding for one of the coolest kids I know, Ynigo Villanueva and his family. Im riding for my heroes Jeff Kilarski, Don Muchow, and John Anderson of Team Diabadass. I ride for my dad, Raul Castillo Sr, a diabetic. And my brother, Raul Castillo Jr, who is a staunch supporter of my efforts to get healthy. I ride for my wife, Laura Lawrence Castillo, who lives with my diabetes as much as I do. For my children, so they dont have to. For Martha Lawrence, my awesome mother in law who reminds me to eat healthy when I dont want to. Im riding for you. You know someone. You love someone. Maybe they dont live with diabetes. But chances are someone they know does. Its not too late too late to make a donation if you can. But if you cant, pray for me. Leave a word of support. I need it all. This isnt my ride. This isnt my story. Its our ride. Our story. And I am darn proud to represent us all. hrrp://main.diabetes.org/goto/TonyCastillo
