Hey Folks, that call I had been waiting on came in from Miss Judy - TopicsExpress

Hey Folks, that call I had been waiting on came in from Miss Judy ...They are moving me to the Rehab center. I got cleaned up and proceeded to the Hospital. I was met an elderly black lady, that had been visiting Judy once a month, she was with a local senior citizen sitter service. (More like another senior that had nothing to do except sit around hospital rooms and keep people company.) She had taking everything that Judy had in the room and bagged it in one large bag. She put dirty clothes with clean clothes , her slippers , her extra bed pads, all her medicines, assorted leftover packets of Mrs Dash , pepper, no salt, and anything else left in the room. I looked around and saw she didnt touch her CPAP Machine, so I packed it up for transport. We have to stall long enough to get my lunch You know My Insurance paid for that and I am gonna eat it before I leave she said. No sooner did she get it out of her mouth they brought her tray..MMMM Boy, She smiled as I opened the cover to display the personal pan veggie pizza that she had ordered. And I get to eat that cole slaw one more time before I leave She Alternated eating pizza and cole slaw, struggling with a little more movement of her still sore right hand, as she held the cup and like a Seasoned Equiptment Operator, she used her fork and scooped out the tasty creamy mixture of cabbage and other unidentified items to make it pleasing to her taste buds...MMM....OOO This cabbage is a little spicy..Believe me it had not changed in flavor since Day 1 . We fould out that the local Ambulance service wanted to charge 45 Dollars to transport her from the Hospital to the Rehab. I will take her in her own car, kinda of hesitant of transporting her in the Kia Rio. So after 9 days of a Hospital Stay, She was free ...timed served... We arrived at the Rehab Center as it took all of 5 minutes to drive from the Hospital. The friendly staff rolled out a wheelchair to take Judy to her room..After entered the inside I smelled what appeared to be a light odor of URINE and other smells so much different than the cleaner smells of the Hospital. Her room was only 3 door down from the main entrance, so If Judy rehabs quick enough, she could plan her escape....NOT...The Insurance provided her with a private room setup ,but a second bed was also in the room. The Director informed her that the other bed was availiable for anyone that would sleep over....(aaahh wont be me) . Judy was complaining of the room too hot ,(which the window faced the sunny side) and the air duct was particially blocked. The good things were the cable was locked in on her LAW AND ORDER ..GOD forbid if they didnt have that program availiable, her Rehab would be severly limited. The room was simple and the bathroom was sufficient. I left her with a physical therapist sitting her up in the bed and lining up future PT. She has her work cut out for her.. Day 1 in Rehab begins...
