Hey! How is your Saturday going? Mine has been very busy with - TopicsExpress

Hey! How is your Saturday going? Mine has been very busy with several of my favorite things! Except for getting my feelings hurt which I take as an opportunity for growth over anything. Jaim says to be like Teflon and as a sensitive person I really need to develop this skill! I am a member of the Minnesota Holistic Nurses Association (I am not a nurse but love all things holistic!) and attended a meeting this morning on Shamanism! So interesting - wow! My jaw dropped a number of times hearing this stuff for the first time. It is a spiritual system over 10,000 years old used in conjunction with Christianity or any other religion. I took a bunch of notes but this is one fascinating thing Id like to share with you! If this information does not resonate with you, just let it go... in shamanic worldview just about every person alive has at least one spirit helper who takes animal form. you can think of them as guardian angels but in animal form. can strengthen your personal power. you are the quarterback, animal is offensive line. they are running interference for you so you can do what you can to get to the goal. they are called power animals. as they bring power to you. bring gift of spiritual power to individual. if you have a challenging situation and need juice: ask them to meet that situation. if person has experienced diminished power in some way, animals may have left them for some reason. typically they are wild animals. if they dont want to hang around they wont. Ive never thought of a guardian angel as an animal! Have you? Although it reminded me of the lion Aslan in the C.S. Lewis tale, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! If you have a connection to a certain animal, this may be the form your angel takes. Are any of you familiar with Shamanism? After the meeting I met Jaim at one of my favorite cafes. We enjoyed a delicious brunch on the patio and I was mindful about really taking in the beautiful 75 degree weather before colder temps move in way too soon! I also experienced being let down... When I eat here I always feel really taken care of with my food intolerances as the food is just so very good. They made some changes to the menu, taking away the salad and breakfast potatoes that come served with the egg scramble and now charge them as optional sides. They also decreased portion sizes. Im sure Ill get used to the changes, I just miss how my favorite place used to be... Lastly, my T3 Jaim gets a gold star! Still needing my exercise this afternoon he accompanied me on a bike ride even though there was an impending storm! We stuck close to home to stay safe. It was really something to have him by my side pedaling as water dripped from our helmets and the rain continued to fall harder and harder (with a few thunder crashes!) before we could make it back home. That is devotion! And I felt loved. Plus it was a success! My blood sugar dropped 75 points on our short 34 minute 5 mile ride! (there were some steep hills!). Sorry for the long post! Thanks if you made it to the end. :) I hope you found it a little interesting. I hadnt checked in yet today so this was like 3 posts in one! Have a good night. ps. We met two dogs on the cafe patio that were so much like Jonah! (I included a few pics of them). :)
