Hey Mama, Just a few words about fear: We live in a world and a society and culture that is changing very quickly. The way things were when we were kids is so very different than what our own kids are experiencing. And they dont even see it because to them, its the norm. We have been around a little longer, and we see. Its not good. The enemy wants us to fear. Its the main thing he can do - to remind us of what may happen, of the perilous unknown, of our frailties and inabilities. Surely we will fall. Surely what has happened in Arkansas this month will happen to us. Surely all the violence coming from groups like ISIS will reach us. Surely our children cannot survive whats to come. Surely we are not strong enough, wise enough, secure enough. Not enough money, supplies, etc., etc. But we need to just stop. Listen, Gods word has addressed all of this. Greater is HE in you than he who is in this world. This world is so temporary. Honestly the biggest thing we have to worry about is, are we going to be found faithful in the end? Will we have lived lives to bring Him glory, to train our children up in the Lord, to pray for salvation faithfully for our unsaved friends and family? Yes, life has to happen. School has to happen. Cleaning and cooking and working hard has to go on. Its part of that faithful living as a Christian and we can go about those activities giving Him glory and being an example and testimony to others, to the best of our ability. He will take care of the rest. We are not called to a life of fear. He has given us LIFE ETERNAL and in that there is no fear. In Christ there is no fear. Pray for safety. Do what you can to protect and to be wise. Share the Gospel with a dying world. Minister to the poor and downtrodden. This life is short. Teach your kids this life is a BLINK of an eye - thats how short. And then the real adventure begins. THAT is when life begins .... the forever life. Where there are no tears, no sadness, no death, no cries, no depression, no pain. Just Christ and His glory and the most adventure well ever see. Do you really think God has placed everything of interest here in this life, leaving nothing to our real life? No way. Thats when things get started. If there is adrenaline to be had, youll find it there. Look around at all the colors you see. Compared to heaven, this world is gray. Shades and shades of gray. Hundreds of shades of gray. When you see Life, when you pass from this one to Eternity...that gray will fade forever, and for the first time in your existence, you will see true color. You will see art and creation like you have never seen. Yes, the Master Artist is amazing; we can see that just by walking outdoors. But at His house, I would imagine its far, far above anything youve ever seen here. Everything will become very clear, then. And you will laugh at those once held earthly fears. You will be astonished at the blink that was your life - your test. Do yourself a favor. Just take God at His word when He says, Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - Isaiah 41:10 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Phil 4:6-7 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. - Psalm 56:3 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. - 2 Tim 1:7 There it is. Take it. Its yours. And feed it to your children. No better food. https://youtube/watch?v=MUwZIV-C_3Q
