Hey Porcispearl Witchcraft and Learning Group, Earth Hour is so - TopicsExpress

Hey Porcispearl Witchcraft and Learning Group, Earth Hour is so close and I am brimming with excitement. We now have over 1000 events happening across the country. This email contains all the information you need to make your own Earth Hour gathering a success. Stick with me – there’s a lot to tell you. Firstly, are you on Facebook or Twitter? On the night of Earth Hour, we want 50,000 Australians to take a pledge to go beyond the Hour in 2014. We urgently need all event hosts -that’s you- to help us get as many Australians as possible on board. You can help us out by donating a post on Facebook or Twitter via our ‘Thunderclap’. To participate sign up before Saturday 12pm. Join our thunderclap and ask 5 of your friends to do the same: thndr.it/1iwqpyv Connect with the Earth Hour community around Australia, and the world, by using the hashtags: #EarthHourPledge or #IHeartTheReef on Twitter, Instagram or by publicly posting on our Facebook wall. You can watch the live stream at earthhour.org.au/earth-hour-live. Have this stream running live at your event, and start posting now! As an Earth Hour host you are eligible to apply for Camp Earth Hour – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Earth Hour super-supporters to learn all the skills you need to be a climate leader in your community. Some of Australia’s best experts will be on hand to train you in climate change science, communicating the issue, and community organising so you can make a difference year-round. If you want to take the next step more details are here. We’ve put together a really great guide to help you talk about climate change to your guests. I have had my fair share of tricky conversations on the topic, so I wanted to make it as easy as possible for you! Earth Hour is all about starting a national conversation about climate change – download your handy guide to BBQ conversations about climate change here. Finally, you’ll want to know how to watch the doco on Saturday. Simply click here to download a copy. Everything you need is on the tools and resources page on our website (earthhour.org.au/gathering-tools-downloads/) – please let us know if you have any problems and we’ll endeavour to help you out! Anna Rose, Earth Hour Australia National Manager P.S. Help us get to 50,000 likes on Facebook before Saturday – you can do that here.
