Hey TRBers! Im hosting a private Amy Gerhartz show on Fri, August 8. Below is the FB post I made about it. I live 15 minutes outside of NYC. For those out of towners, come make a road trip and make a fun weekend out of it! For you local NJ/NY area TRBers, I expect to see some of you here! *IMPORTANT UPDATE- PLEASE READ* Attn: FB Friends: Many of you know that back in February I attended The Rock Boat, which is the longest running annual music festival cruise. One of the artists on the cruise was a talented singer/songwriter named Amy Gerhartz out of Atlanta (those of you who attended TRB certainly know all about Amy!). Well, Amy has decided to embark on a national house tour where she travels across the country playing private concerts in peoples homes. When I first heard about this I thought it was such a neat idea that I volunteered my place for a show. We have confirmed Friday, August 8, as the date. Now to make this happen, I need to guarantee Amy payment in the $750 - $1,000 range in order to cover her travel expenses and also put a few bucks in her pocket (after all, as an indie artist this is how she makes her living!). So therefore, Im shooting to charge $20 per person and hope to get at least 35-40 people to attend. For those of you fellow Rock Boaters in the Tri-State area, I expect to see you all here! For everyone else, come on over for a night of fun and some good music. More details to follow but ASAP Id appreciate you all responding on whether you can come.
