Hey all, an email should be arriving with details of the tour, but - TopicsExpress

Hey all, an email should be arriving with details of the tour, but I know there have been some email delays, so Ill paste it in below: Hi all, Thank you so much for your patience while the tour team have been working out the best way to continue to work towards strengthening what the choir is all about - being a singing community. Due to having only 43 singers booked to come on tour, the tour team have decided to postpone next years tour to Belgium and instead, transfer all the details over into 2016. We have seen quite a turnover of people attending AS! in the last few months and for them, £295 and five nights away represents quite a commitment. So, what next? Well two things. Firstly, lets deal with the tour: If you have paid money to come to Belgium in 2015, then you can do one of three things: 1. You can leave your money there in the tour account. 2. You can continue to pay money in towards the 2016 tour to Belgium. 3. You can ask for your money back and it will be repaid to you in full. The choir hasnt had to pay out any money yet for the proposed 2015 tour, so full refunds are available. Just ask the tour desk at a rehearsal and theyll sort it for you. Number 1 will happen by default if you dont say anything! If you would like to come on tour to Belgium in 2016, the dates will be 1st-5th April and the details will remain much the same as they would have done for 2015. You are free to declare an interest for coming along, whenever you want, but well start in earnest before the end of the summer term next year. Secondly, we fully understand that there will be many of us who were booked to come on tour next year who will be sorely disappointed that weve decided to postpone, but we have some great plans afoot! On 14th March 2015, we are planning a day trip to Windsor to sing and enjoy a cruise down the Thames!! Prices are yet to be established but we will let you know as soon we know and then get people booked in. Please get the date in your diary and lets get as many of us on that trip as possible. Family will be welcome too! We are planning another day trip in the summer where we may even look to combine with L8 Sings! our sister choir in Liverpool, perhaps meeting halfway to do a gig or something. The tour team are taking on the responsibility of organising these days out and are excited about the fun times ahead! So, in summary, the tour is going ahead but youll just have to wait an extra 12 months and in the meantime there are various towns around within a few hours drive of Ashford, who could well be feeling the impact of some AS! fun, the only way we know how! Thanks for your understanding and for being a part of the wonderful AS! community. C (&N) x PS Feel the Fear week (or Fright Night as Dan Park-Carpenter is calling it!) is not this Sunday, but is Sunday 30th November. 9 days to no words!! Chris Kimmance Choir Leader
