Hey everybody! I just made a new friend. Cuz Im in need of more ;) if youre in need of anything auto related, good conversation &/or a new friend too, Stan at Rilleys auto supply is awesome. He, not terribly friendly initially says: woe lady youve been driving around for 3mos with no head lights?! Me, ditzy blond like: haha well I have my high beams. I think I need oil too? Not sure. Whats the difference between 10~30, 5~20? Im a total girl when it comes to cars. He shakes his head in horror. We end up outside in the pouring rain hovered over hood of car for a good 1/2 hour. Hes like: you can get in your car with your puppy, I dont want you to get drenched. Im like: naw. Rain feels good. If youre afraid of the rain in WA, youre in trouble! Long story short, we had a rad convo in Spanish about his aging Mexican folks in Chicago where he grew up, hes worried about them & their health. His too, as he has a couple hundred lbs to lose. As it turns out I needed 4 quarts of oil. Yowsers! He, very polite and gentleman like, put my new headlights in for me and we are going to develop a healthy eating regimen for him & another custom planned for his parents. Hes going to brave it & try Yin yoga to begin with and he hooked me up with the name of a dude that will fix my brakes when needed again n change my oil for like $500- less than Les Scwab did. Grrrr. I love people. When they let down their guard and open up to you. You learn so much about human nature and about yourself too, through a total stranger
