Hey everyone, Earlier today University of California, Student Association proposed a resolution in support of divestment from corporations violating Palestinian human rights and will be voted on at 8:35 pm tonight. This basically means that all UC school that are a part of UCSA will be approving divestment from Israel. Our VP of external affairs Allyson Osorio will be the one with the final vote representing our school. It is our duty to email Allyson and tell her it is not ok that they are going through with this vote when today is the first day we have heard about this. We must bombard her with emails and express our concerns as a student body. I can attach you the email that me and Raam, the president of TFI sent her but it would be the best bet to personalize this email so she doesnt keep getting the same one. her e-mail is [email protected] Hello Allyson, My name is Raam Solomon and I am president of Tritons for Israel. Today I received notice that a resolution in support of divestment from corporations violating Palestinian human rights will be discussed at the UCSA meeting at 8:35 PM. I am outraged that this is the first time I am hearing about such a resolution when it is such an important issue that affects me and the rest of my community immensely. As a representative of your student body I believe it is your responsibility to step up and fight to table this resolution so my community has the opportunity to speak up and voice our opinion on this matter.
