Hey everyone! In light of the haze situation previously, Know Your Medications, Get It Right! Medication Review 2 is now officially postpone to August 31, Saturday. Medication Review 2 @ NorthWest 2013 Theme: Healthcare – Back to Basics Date: 31 August 2013, Saturday Time: 9am - 2pm Venue: Block 306 & 306A, Clementi Ave 4 Reporting time: 8.50 am Attire: NUSPS Top, Jeans, Covered shoes The aim of the event is to provide free medication review services, health information on managing chronic illness and basic health screening for the elderly. At the same time, it will provide you with a learning experience on patient counselling and use of home monitoring devices. This time round, we will be collaborating with Pharmacy Profession Awareness Committee (PPAC) and the theme for the event is "Healthcare – Back to Basics". PPAC aims to achieve the following through their collaboration with EMed: 1)Promote health literacy through public health education 2)Portray the various roles that pharmacists can play in public health management through fun and interactive health education booths 3)Promote awareness towards the pharmacy profession This event will thus target at not only the elderly but also other family members like younger parents and children. We are recruiting volunteers for the following roles: 1)Registration 2)Height and Weight 3)Blood glucose measurement 4)Pharmacist Assistant 5)BP measurement 6)Goodie Bag & Survey 7)Field Volunteer Interactive game booths (PPAC) *More details of each booth, game play and role will be provided at pre-event briefing nearer to the date The deadline for sign-ups will be 3rd August 2013 (Saturday), 2359.
