Hey everyone, Janna here with a forecast update (Thurs 6pm)... We begin tomorrow with high clouds that increase through the morning.. dry, cold start to the day. Rain arrives from SW to NE by the early afternoon. Some wet snow or sleet may mix in right away-mainly across high terrain. Most of us will see rain change over to a wintry mix & snow through the evening and night. Snow or snow/sleet continue through Saturday morning and end likely before Noon. Winter Weather Advisories from 10am Friday-10am Saturday for many. Saturday turns blustery & mountain snow showers return in the afternoon & evening with some additional accumulation-mainly N. Summers, W. Greenbrier, Pocahontas Counties. So, overall with this storm: Not a major storm, but travel difficulties are likely, beginning Friday afternoon. Roads look mainly wet Friday, but may become snow-covered Saturday morning. Most pick up 1-2 inches of snow/sleet, with higher elevations nearing 3.
