Hey everyone. Please see the email below from our school counselor, and contact her if you can help with Career Day. I bet a bunch of you and/or your spouses would be great speakers! ****************************************************************************************** I am in need of some assistance for our Career Day to be held on Friday, May 23, from 8:30 – 10:30 am. The most important thing that I need are speakers! I have had some volunteers based on the flyer I sent home, but am need to lots more. If you have a great job that you would be able to share with our students, we would love to have you. If you know someone who might be a great presenter, I would love to hear about it. Something I think would be really fun would be to have someone who owns a food truck come and speak, and then our teachers and speakers could buy their lunch that day. I will be providing breakfast for the speakers in the morning as well. I also may need a few parent volunteers just to help out with making sure the speakers know where to go, and to help the kids find the rooms they need to be in. I would greatly appreciate any support you might offer. I am attaching the flyer that I sent home so that you can pass along the information. In the flyer when it talks about hands-on activities, I am really referring to having visuals for the kids, or something for them to look at (props and things of that nature). Speakers will speak for about 30 minutes for 2 or 3 groups of kids, depending on the grade they speak. Thank you for all that you do to make Big Springs such a great place to be!
