Hey everyone! So, we are thinking of offering a variation on our services and wanted your feedback. We are considering offering wedding photography clients an option that would dramatically decrease the time they have to wait for their photos but also significantly reduce the number of edited pictures they receive. Currently our turnaround time for around 1,000 Photoshopped pictures is in the four- to five-month range (depending on other factors). We are looking at giving couples a choice: for the same price, they could get either the aforementioned 1,000 edited pictures in the five-month timeframe, OR approximately 200 edited pictures and, say, at least 2,000 unedited pictures within a month of the wedding. We still do not ever want to sacrifice quality and we believe detailed editing is essential to maintaining our high standards, but neither are we satisfied that couples are having to wait longer than most for what may actually be too many wedding pictures! What are your thoughts? What would you see as the drawbacks and/or advantages of this decreased turnaround time/number of pictures option? How would you refine such an option?
