Hey folks, Its that time of year again: Rios Catalytic Communities is holding their annual raffle to raise funds to support their work. Over the past year, CatComm helped dozens of foreign journalists get a more insightful view of what is happening in the citys favelas while also training community members across Rio to hold police and other officials accountable through citizen journalism. I volunteered with CatComm in 2009 and still support their important work. If you want to support this project and get a chance to travel to Rio, buy yourself a ticket! Thanks to generous mileage and accommodation donations, the Rio Raffle prize is valued at over $4,000.
