Hey friends. We debated about going public with this, but after having a night to think about it, I realized that thousands of eyes watching my Lamasco family (and my beautiful old building), letting all of you know what was going on was a call I was willing to make. All of the external deadbolts of Lamasco Bar and Grill had been tampered with, making them inoperable. In about 90 seconds on each door, somebody had unscrewed the two screws that go into the deadbolts and had replaced with 4 inch long blue screws that actually caused the deadbolts to malfunction. We can only guess as to the intent of WHY somebody would do this, and being robbed is obviously at the top of this list, but things, money, and equipment can be replaced. My BIGGEST fear is my Lamasco family would be put in harms way. It caused many of us a night of fitful to no sleep, and I am sure many more nights to come until we know this scary situation has come to pass. I sent messages to many on Franklin Street last night, but was not able to reach all of you. Watch out for your neighbors, even though this reminder is something we do all the time for each other. And in particular, send a little extra love and protection our way this week. We could use it.
