Hey friends! You may have noticed that I am continuing to raise support for my work here in Haiti. If any of you would like to help but dont just have extra $ available to contribute, would you consider getting creative and having some fun AND helping me care for orphans?? Its garage sale time!!! Maybe you can donate the proceeds from a garage sale - invite your friends and neighbors to donate items! Throw a PARTY WITH A PURPOSE!! Buy a keg, invite all you family and friends and take donations or a door charge! Organize a KYAK FOR A CAUSE!! Spend a day floating down the river and take up a collection to donate or even charge a small fee to participate!! Create a raffle at any of these events!! An iPad can turn into a $600 contribution if you sell 50 $20 tickets to win it!! (A $1000 contribution if the iPad is donated!!!!!) Sell your old gold and silver buried in you jewelry box! Have a good, old fashioned Lemonade Stand or Bake Sale! I know that many of you do not have extra money to give but I also know that many of your lives are RICH with friends and family and you have the RESOURCES of time, energy, talents, and enthusiasm that can generate the actual dollars needed. My goal is not too terribly big - $4000 for personal expenses for a year. I simply cannot do what Ive been brought here to Haiti to do without the support of others - its part of the deal. Not all of us are able to move to Haiti to care for orphans with special needs, but you can be a necessary partner with someone who has. :-) THANK YOU
