Ill explain in a minute, but first I just have to let out the love I have for our amazing team members who consistently step up and save the day. Of course, the day before this massive moment in our history, a few key things went unexpectedly wrong. Our website crashed out of nowhere, and I misestimated the time for a key project by more than 4 hours. The project had to be completed by 6 PM, and by 9 AM, I knew that I wasnt going to be able to get it done. For many executives, this is a recipe for disaster. But not for me. In the midst of midterm week, I sent a text to Ravi Tadi, and within minutes he responded, telling me he would fix the website problem and get it launched again. A few hours later, we were back in action. And that multi-hour project misestimation that threatened disaster? I texted Azba Gurm and without thinking twice, she said I can do it. She worked until 6 to make it happen, the project is finished and were golden. How many college sophomores would you trust such a crucial project with? This is what Bo Schembechler was talking about when he gave his famous The Team speech. All this brings me to the big day. We have been given the headlining 90-minute slot at tomorrows annual LSA Deans Advisory Council, which is the one weekend per year that the 40 largest donors to the entire College gather in one place. Dean Martin will speak before us, and well be followed by President Schlissel. I can hardly process that this is happening, and to make things better, 11 of the most inspiring people in my life will be joining me on stage. Tim Pituch, Heidi Terpstra, Abdelrahman Allam, Sripriya Navalpakam, Neeru Kannan, Praveen Loganathan, Sherra Bennett, Lina Abid, Tyson Gersh, Raj Kadiyala, Anna Chen...Im so happy well be doing this together.
