Hey guys - BK here. Not to get narcissistic by updating everyone with every single thing that happens in my life, but I am popping in with a quick update. I visited the TMC on Katterbach Monday because of some blood drainage around the wound and high fever over the weekend. I was referred to Ansbach Klinikum, where Ive been since then receiving antibiotics. I had surgery Monday where they opened and cleaned the wound to see if they could deter an infection and determine cause of bleeding. Today, I was informed that I will be undergoing yet another surgery where the wound will be opened AGAIN, thoroughly cleaned, and a vacuum assisted wound closure will be placed over my wound to pull out all the potentially bacteria-ridden fluid. This will help avoid any infection moving into the bone. Long story medium, Ill be in the hospital for about 2 weeks and will have to undergo this procedure a few more times to clean the wound and re-place the vacuum seal on the site. Hooray! Hope everyone is doing well, see you guys as soon as I can get out of these damn hospitals!
