Hey guys, A note has just come through the office for us to share with you. We understand that this is on a topic that will create debate, however it is essential that you air your opinion on the topic through the proper medium provided so it can be heard by those who need to hear it. "Dear UC students and staff, The University has always intended to introduce pay parking as part of a sustainable transport program, however, cuts to Federal Government funding have forced the Executive to bring this forward to 2014 as the University cannot continue to subsidise parking. A final decision on how paid parking will work has not been made yet and the University wants to take into account the views of students, staff and the community to ensure paid parking works in the best way possible and to help target new investments in sustainable transport options. To put your views on pay parking forward, the University would like to invite you to participate in one of the focus groups held on campus between 4 and 12 July 2013. Please register your interest in a focus group meeting through the feedback form on canberra.edu.au/bettercampus/car-parks/your-say and we will provide you with meeting options.
